Coir fiber is extracted from coconut husks and graded depending on the process. Mattress fiber, mixed fiber are some of the common grades. This extract is dried in order to maintain moisture level, and goes through quality control in order to remove the impurities and other particles. Finally, the fiber is compressed into bales with plastic strapping in order to maximize the load ability. Each bale weighs approximately 120 – 130 kg .
